Privacy Policy for the Vintage Rally Car Championship (VRCC)

 

What information does VRCC collect?

VRCC does do not collect any information from or about you when you visit this web site.

 

We do collect information about you when you send it to us via email. We may also collect some information about you when we view the results of rallies you have entered. In addition, we may also collect some information about you when we obtain a picture to be used on this site. As a VRCC member, you will be asked to vote on a rule change or other issues.

How does VRCC use your information?

VRCC may post your name, region, car description, and finishing place in rallies you have entered, on the scoreboard section of this web site. We will not post your email address or any other contact information.

 

VRCC will use your email address to communicate with you. Your email address will not be displayed as part of a “group mailing.” VRCC will need your mailing address to send decals to you.

 

When voting, all votes will be aggregated in such a way that your individual vote cannot be traced back to you. Voting will be optional and your vote, or your decision not to vote, will not be disclosed. We plan to use a third-party voting service that only reports aggregate results to us.

How does VRCC protect your information?

VRCC does not store any information about you, other that the scoreboard data, on a web server. All information is stored on a pedestal personal computer which is turned off when not in use. Anti-virus and firewall programs are used to safeguard the information.

 

Does VRCC use cookies?

No, we do not use cookies. If we did, oatmeal raisin would be our first choice.

Does VRCC disclose any information to outside parties?

No, VRCC will not disclose any information about you to outside parties other than listing your name and VRCC points in the scoreboard section and in an annual Championship summary page.

VRCC may provide links to sponsors, sanctioning bodies, or other third parties whom we feel may be of interest to you. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. Please review their privacy policies before doing business with them.

We are in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act of 2003 and will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998

VRCC is in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998. Children under the age of 13 will not be accepted for membership in the Vintage Rally Car Championship.

By sending a photograph or other material to VRCC for publication on this web site, you are stating that you either own the copyright for the material, or you have permission from the copyright owner to submit it for publication.

Your Consent

By submitting results to the Vintage Rally Car Championship, you are consenting to this privacy policy and are specifically granting permission for VRCC to publish your name on the VRCC scoreboard. By sending a photograph to VRCC, you are consenting for VRCC, at our discretion, to publish that photograph and related text on our web site.
